So as someone who's part of the LEGO building subculture, and also a TFOL (teen fan of LEGO), I was really impressed when I saw this LEGO Ideas project by Anduin1710. It's a concept for a LEGO set of the Spinosaurus aegyptiacus skeletal mount in the National geographic Museum based on the data from Ibrahim et al. (2014).
I really like his use of a 2x4 wedge slope for the pelvis and his use of cylinder clip components for chevrons and caudals. I immediately supported it. I mean, who wouldn't want a LEGO set of Spinosaurus aegyptiacus based on the actual animal and not the ridiculous monstrosity from Jurassic Park 3?
He even made a concept for a LEGO set of a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton which appears to be based on AMNH 5027. If you guys want LEGO to turn his ideas into official sets, go to https://ideas.lego.com/dashboard , create an account, then go to his profile and support his ideas.
